Samir Handanovic will begin training again with the rest of his Inter teammates tomorrow, according to a leading Italian broadcaster.

The Nerazzurri’s goalkeeper tested negative for COVID-19 yesterday, paving the way for him to re-join the first-team squad ahead of Saturday’s Serie A match at Bologna.

Sky Sport Italia reported that Handanovic completed an individual training program this morning before undergoing fitness tests to check his condition.

He will be back under Antonio Conte’s orders tomorrow and is on course to start the fixture at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

Conte will have Handanovic available to face the Rossoblu, barring any last-minute surprises, but he might not have Stefan de Vrij, Danilo D’Ambrosio or Matias Vecino.

All three returned another positive COVID-19 test yesterday and will therefore have to wait before returning to action at Appiano Gentile.

Inter will be looking to defend their six-point lead over AC Milan at the top of the table when they take on Bologna at the weekend.
