Suning are in a race against time to find money to pay Inter’s bills, according to a report in the Italian media today.
Corriere dello Sport’s print edition confirmed Suning were looking for a ‘big loan’ at the moment, which would help cover the Nerazzurri’s immediate payment deadlines and help them prepare next season.
However, the Chinese retail giant needs ‘more than €150 million’ to cover all of Inter’s payment obligations until June 30.
Inter must pay their first €10 million instalment to Real Madrid for Achraf Hakimi’s transfer fee by Wednesday, but the club have already guaranteed they will do this.
The Nerazzurri would risk not receiving a UEFA licence for next season’s European competition if they failed to hand over the Hakimi payment by March 31.
It appears there is no danger of that happening, however, despite rumours earlier this year that there were tensions over the 22-year-old between the two clubs.
