Inter have received a boost ahead of Saturday’s crucial Serie A fixture away at Bologna, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Tuttosport’s print edition confirmed Bologna goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski was set to miss the match at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara after he tested positive for COVID-19 on international duty with Poland at the weekend.

Skorupski is still isolating back home and became the third Bologna player to test positive for the virus this season, following full-back Aaron Hickey and second-choice keeper Federico Ravaglia.

Ravaglia has long since recovered from COVID-19 and is the favourite to replace Skorupski against the Nerazzurri, with Angelo da Costa the other alternative for Sinisa Mihajlovic.

Inter have their own COVID-19 problems to worry about ahead of this weekend’s match, with Stefan de Vrij and Danilo D’Ambrosio still positive for the virus as of this morning.

Samir Handanovic and Matias Vecino have both tested negative and should both be available for the fixture against the Rossoblu.
