Matias Vecino has a ‘high chance’ of leaving Inter in the summer, according to a report in the Italian media.
FcInterNews.it have revealed that while the midfielder is not out of the Nerazzurri’s plans, the club would seriously consider a sale if somebody were to offer €10 million.
Vecino is said to have numerous suitors, but the financial difficulties created by COVID-19 have meant nobody has come forward with a serious bid yet.
One possible solution could see the Uruguayan move to Roma if the Giallorossi were to appoint Maurizio Sarri – who coached Vecino at Empoli – as their new head coach for next season.
Vecino has endured a very unfortunate season at Inter, having made just one substitute appearance all year after undergoing knee surgery last summer.
The 29-year-old did at least test negative for COVID-19 yesterday though, meaning he will soon be free to re-join his teammates in training at Appiano Gentile.
Vecino’s priority at the moment is to regain peak physical condition and give Antonio Conte’s side a hand in their Serie A title run-in.
FCIN pointed out that good performances during the next 11 games would also help Vecino create interest in his services from other clubs.
