Inter have entered a new dimension as a club following the launch of their new logo today, according to a report in the Italian media.
Gazzetta dello Sport (via FcInter1908.it) said the badge meant the Nerazzurri would stop being just a football club and become a global brand.
Inter’s finances remain precarious and owners Suning still need to find fresh liquidity from a new partner, in order to keep the club stable without any trouble.
However, today’s revolutionary rebrand is a said to be a clear sign that Suning wish to stay in charge at the club.
March could have been a worrying month for Inter supporters, the Milan-based publication explained, with reports suggesting Suning could be tempted to sell or that they could fail to meet payment deadlines, which would deny the Nerazzurri a UEFA licence for next season.
As it turns out, March has proved to be a month of rebirth in a certain sense, with Suning determined to carry on along with the new badge.
Doubts remain over the club’s future, but the rain is far less intense than it was a few weeks ago, the report claimed.
Inter will complete their €13 million payment to Real Madrid for Achraf Hakimi before tomorrow’s UEFA deadline, as well as paying their players’ salaries for the month of January.
