Inter are likely to agree a contract extension with their loan midfielder Lucien Agoume, according to one of his former representatives.

Agoume is enjoying a reasonably successful season at Spezia under Vincenzo Italiano, making 11 appearances in all competitions so far.

Oscar Damiani worked as an intermediary in the deal which brought the 19-year-old to Inter from FC Sochaux in 2019.

“When he’s played at Spezia he’s shown all of his qualities,” Damiani told TuttoMercatoWeb today.

“Agoume is a great prospect and as far as his contract extension is concerned, I think Inter will find an agreement with him.”

Agoume started the season out of favour at Spezia before eventually working his way into Italiano’s starting XI.

The French youngster started all six of the Aquilotti’s league matches in January, but has since gone back onto the substitutes’ bench.

Agoume played the final four minutes of Spezia’s 3-0 defeat at Juventus on March 2, but apart from that he has not featured in any of their last eight Serie A games.

He made three appearances under Antonio Conte with Inter’s first team last season, having previously played 10 times for the Nerazzurri’s Primavera side.
