Inter are planning to send their promising academy defender Etienne Kinkoue out on loan next season, according to a report in the Italian media.

Kinkoue joined Inter in the summer of 2019 from French club ESTAC Troyes and the Inter Primavera centre-back committed his long-term future to the club last year, signing a contract until the end of the 2023-24 season.

FcInterNews.it said nothing could be excluded in terms of the loan destination, be it Italy’s lower leagues or an experience abroad.

What seems likely though is that Inter will look to give Kinkoue some experience in first-team football after an impressive season under Armando Madonna.

Kinkoue has made 15 appearances for Inter’s Primavera’s side this season, including two in the Coppa Italia Primavera.

He was linked with a loan move away from the club last year but the parties ultimately decided he should continue his development in the academy.

The 19-year-old’s future will become clearer in June.
