Inter’s new badge has received the thumbs up from their legendary former goalkeeper Julio Cesar.

The Nerazzurri unveiled the logo on Tuesday, which takes on a more minimalistic design than its predecessor and focuses on the letters ‘I’ and ‘M’.

Inter’s badge received mixed reviews on social media but Cesar was very much in favour, speaking during the club’s official presentation ceremony last night.

“I’m very happy to take part in this important day for Inter and all their fans,” the Brazilian said, as quoted by FcInterNews.it.

“I hope you like the new badge as much as I immediately liked it.

“It’s a modern logo which recalls Inter’s history and all of our greatest achievements.

“Always, Forza Inter.”

A report in Italy yesterday said Inter would debut their new badge before their Serie A fixture at home to Cagliari on April 11.

Antonio Conte’s players will have the logo on their shirts during the warm-up, before having it on their match kits from next season.

Inter’s previous logo had been used since 2014 and will continue to be used until near the end of this campaign.

Julio Cesar is clearly excited about seeing the rebranded badge on the club’s shirts, in the hope Conte’s side can decorate it with trophies in future seasons.
