Inter are not worried about Alessandro Bastoni after the defender was taken off while playing for Italy last night, according to a leading Italian broadcaster.

Bastoni went off in the 89th minute of the Azzurri’s 2-0 win in Lithuania after taking a blow to his shoulder.

Sky Sport Italia said Inter were not particularly concerned about the 21-year-old’s condition ahead of Saturday’s Serie A game at Bologna.

Bastoni himself reassured Italy’s medical staff after leaving the pitch in Vilnius, where Roberto Mancini’s side picked up another three points in their FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.

Antonio Conte is already potentially going to be without Stefan de Vrij for Inter’s trip to the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, despite De Vrij testing negative for COVID-19 today.

Inter can ill afford Bastoni to be unavailable against the Rossoblu as well, but it seems there is still a good chance the centre-back will be fit to play.
