Romelu Lukaku was very happy to return to Inter on Wednesday after finishing his international duties.
The Nerazzurri’s star striker scored twice for Belgium in FIFA World Cup qualifying this week, helping Roberto Martinez’s side to a win against Wales and a draw in the Czech Republic.
Lukaku was rested for Tuesday’s 8-0 thrashing of Belarus before returning to Appiano Gentile as scheduled, to the delight no doubt of Inter boss Antonio Conte.
The 27-year-old wrote on Instagram: “Great first day back at Inter.”
