Antonio Conte will get the chance to study one of Inter’s brightest academy talents next season, according to a report in the Italian media.

Calciomercato.com said the Nerazzurri had decided against loaning out their Primavera midfielder Cesare Casadei for the 2021-22 campaign.

Casadei recently agreed a new contract which ties him to Inter until 2024 and will spend another year developing with Armando Madonna’s Primavera side.

However, the 18-year-old will also get the chance – if and when Conte deems it appropriate – to train with the first team on occasions.

Casadei has had interest from numerous clubs who would be interested in signing him on loan for next season.

Inter have clear ideas about the Italian though and will continue to monitor his progress in house for at least another 12 months.

Casadei joined the club from Cesena in 2018 and has since established himself as an excellent prospect, with UK paper The Guardian including him in a list recently of Europe’s brightest young talents.

CM’s report said Casadei was reminiscent of Inter’s legendary former midfielder Nicola Berti in terms of his movement.

He also has an eye for goal, having found the back of the net on six occasions for Madonna’s Primavera side this season.
