Inter remain tempted by the idea of bringing Federico Dimarco back from Hellas Verona, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition said the 23-year-old’s future remained uncertain but that the Nerazzurri were ‘seriously considering’ re-signing the full-back in the summer.

Hellas Verona have an option to make Dimarco’s current loan move permanent for €6.5 million, with Inter guaranteed 50% of any future transfer fee (if they do not re-sign him).

Dimarco could stay with the Gialloblu’s head coach Ivan Juric because of this, or he could follow Juric to another club (such as Napoli) if the former Genoa boss moved elsewhere.

Inter would stand to make a hefty capital gain from Dimarco’s sale if he joined Hellas Verona and was then sold onto another club (with the Nerazzurri due to receive half that fee).

The former Italy under-21 full-back has made 27 appearances in all competitions for Juric’s side this season, scoring four goals and five assists.
