Romelu Lukaku could join a special group of Inter players if he were to score at Bologna tomorrow, a report in the Italian media has highlighted.

The Belgian has been a key player again for Antonio Conte’s side this season with 19 league goals to his name so far.

As per FcInterNews.it, Lukaku is on the verge of becoming only the seventh player in Inter’s history to score 20 goals in consecutive Serie A seasons.

The six players to have previously achieved that feat are Giuseppe Meazza, Amedeo Amadei, Roberto Boninsegna, Mauro Icardi, Stefano Nyers and Christian Vieri.

Lukaku heads into tomorrow’s match at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara in typically prolific form, having scored twice for Belgium while away on international duty.

The 27-year-old scored a second-half penalty to secure a 3-1 win over Wales in FIFA World Cup qualifying, before scoring in the Czech Republic to salvage a 1-1 draw for Roberto Martinez’s side.

He has now found the net on 59 occasions in 91 appearances for his country.
