Inter’s Belgian international striker Romelu Lukaku believes signing for the Nerazzurri was a very good decision when speaking to an Italian broadcaster.

The former Manchester United striker was speaking to Inter TV immediately after the final whistle against Bologna away at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara where the Nerazzurri recorded their 9th straight win in the Serie A.

“I am very happy, the match was difficult but we won and took a good step forward. We have to continue like this.

“It’s a beautiful moment. I made a beautiful decision to come to Inter because I have seen the level of the players and the coach, who did a lot to have me here.

“I work for the team and I help the team because this is fundamental for me. Without the team I am no-one. So we all do good work, everyone together.

“We want to win. We have an objective and we have to continue like this. I like the pressure, it stimulates me. We have all grown in terms of our mentality, turning the pressure into positive energy.

“And this helps us out on the pitch. I want to wish everyone a Happy Easter. I hope you spend some great time with your families.”

The Nerazzurri defeated Bologna thanks to a goal midway through the first half by Romelu Lukaku, who scored his 20th Serie A goal of the season.

That proved to be the only goal on the day and was good enough to record Inter’s 9th consecutive win in the Serie A to go 8 points clear of city rivals AC Milan with one game in hand.

Inter will host Sassuolo in the Serie A this coming Wednesday the 7th of April 2021 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan’s San Siro district with kick-off scheduled for 20.45 CET.
