Alexis Sanchez has earned himself a third season at Inter after his recent upturn in form, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Gazzetta dello Sport‘s online edition said it was difficult to imagine the Nerazzurri parting company with the forward given his displays under Antonio Conte.

Sanchez has made a positive impact at Inter since he nearly left for Roma in the January transfer window, having provided three goals and one assist in his last five Serie A appearances.

The Chilean’s contract is another reason he is unlikely to leave, the Milan-based publication admitted, with Sanchez tied to Inter until the summer of 2023.

Analysing Inter’s likely transfer movements in attack, GdS said it was highly unlikely that either Romelu Lukaku or Lautaro Martinez would leave the club this summer, with both considered unsellable.

Andrea Pinamonti is very likely to leave on loan, meanwhile, having played just 59 minutes of football (split between five appearances) under Conte this season.

Inter will look to secure a more dependable fourth-choice striker for next season, with the report highlighting that Atalanta forward Luis Muriel has been linked lately.
