Romelu Lukaku’s future is certain to be at Inter, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As per FcInterNews.it, Chelsea and Barcelona have been linked with moves for the striker in recent weeks but the only club to have expressed a real interest is Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola is seeking a replacement to the outgoing Sergio Aguero and has included Lukaku on a three-name shortlist alongside Harry Kane and Erling Haaland.

However, Lukaku has no intention of leaving Inter and wants to open a winning cycle with the Nerazzurri.

FCIN said reports that Inter would agree to sell Lukaku for €120 million were wide of the mark, because the club have never set a price tag for the 27-year-old.

Antonio Conte and Inter’s directors consider Lukaku to be among their unsellable players and want the Belgian to remain their star heading into the future.

Lukaku’s contract until the summer of 2024 will make it very difficult for suitors to destabilise Inter with interest or offers.

In any case, the report said Inter and Lukaku could begin talks in the next few months over an extension to his deal.
