Inter are not the only team set to be missing key players for Wednesday’s match at home to Sassuolo, according to a report in the Italian media today.

The Nerazzurri will be without the suspended Alessandro Bastoni and Marcelo Brozovic for their rearranged Serie A game in midweek, but Roberto De Zerbi’s side have plenty of selection problems of their own.

FcInterNews.it have reported that Domenico Berardi, Francesco Caputo and Gregoire Defrel are all likely to miss the trip to San Siro due to injury problems.

The Neroverdi are already certain to be without midfielder Mehdi Bourabia and defenders Filippo Romagna and Kaan Ayhan, with the latter having tested positive for COVID-19.

De Zerbi should recover Mert Muldur, Gian Marco Ferrari and Manuel Locatelli at least, after all three missed Saturday’s draw with Roma as a COVID-19 precaution.

Jeremy Toljan, Vlad Chiriches and Maxime Lopez will make way for the above trio and drop to the bench.

Sassuolo’s probable starting XI vs Inter (4-2-3-1): Consigli; Muldur, Marlon, Ferrari, Rogerio; Locatelli, Obiang; Traore, Djuricic, Boga; Raspadori.
