Inter announced the arrival of a new sponsor today, confirming Acqua S.Bernardo would become the club’s official water partner.
The Italian mineral water company will be the Nerazzurri’s sponsor for the remainder of the 2020-21 season and for the 2021-22 campaign.
Christian Eriksen, Ivan Perisic, Alessandro Bastoni and Romelu Lukaku starred in the artwork Inter used to unveil the agreement on their website.
“The Alpine water brand, celebrated for its links to the world of art and sport, shares its values of innovation and attention to environmental issues with the Nerazzurri, which – thanks to this partnership – are becoming more firmly entrenched and reinforced,” an official statement from Inter read.
“The partnership between Acqua S.Bernardo and Inter will provide numerous benefits, from the visibility of the brand on the pitch-side LED screens during home games in Serie A and the Coppa Italia, product placement at all training centres (for the men’s and women’s first team and youth sector) and at press conferences organised by the club at the Suning Training Centre and the Stadio San Siro.”
Inter did not offer any financial details of their agreement with Acqua S.Bernardo, but this deal could help the Nerazzurri’s owners Suning solve the club’s ongoing economic problems, even with only a small contribution.
Suning are more than likely to remain Inter’s owners heading into next season and it seems Antonio Conte could be set for a contract extension as head coach too.
A report in Italy’s papers on Tuesday said Conte would most likely meet club president Steven Zhang to discuss a renewal in the summer, with his current deal expiring in 2022.
