Inter are one of three European giants waiting to pounce on a deal for Real Betis defender Aissa Mandi, according to a report in the Spanish media today.
El Gol Digital said the Algerian is a popular player with head coach Manuel Pellegrini but has yet to agree to sign a contract extension, with his current deal expiring in the summer.
Mandi has impressed more and more with his performances for Real Betis this season and is attracting attention from Inter, who are widely thought to be seeking a defender.
Lyon are also targeting a move for the 29-year-old and so are Liverpool, who have been without first-choice defenders Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez almost all season.
Mandi has scored three goals and provided two assists from centre-back for Real Betis during the current campaign.
He has made 27 appearances in all competitions for Pellegrini’s team, including one on Saturday during a 1-1 draw against Elche.
