Alexis Sanchez is in line to start for Inter in tomorrow’s rearranged Serie A match against Sassuolo, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition said the Chilean was likely to replace either Romelu Lukaku or Lautaro Martinez for the match at San Siro, with their predicted XI putting El Toro on the bench.

Matteo Darmian is favourite to replace the suspended Alessandro Bastoni ahead of Danilo D’Ambrosio and Andrea Ranocchia, while Stefan de Vrij is certain to return to the defence.

Roberto Gagliardini and Matias Vecino are vying to replace Marcelo Brozovic (also suspended) in midfield, with Nicolo Barella expected to occupy the Croatian’s play-maker role.

Ivan Perisic and Aleksandar Kolarov remain unavailable after missing Saturday’s 1-0 win at Bologna as well.

Inter’s probable starting XI vs Sassuolo (3-5-2): Samir Handanovic; Matteo Darmian, Stefan de Vrij, Milan Skriniar; Achraf Hakimi, Roberto Gagliardini, Nicolo Barella, Christian Eriksen, Ashley Young; Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez.
