Inter do not have any COVID-19 concerns for tonight’s match against Sassuolo after all players tested negative again.

FcInter1908.it confirmed nobody had caught the virus according to most recent round of molecular tests completed by the first-team squad.

Antonio Conte saw four of his players – Samir Handanovic, Danilo D’Ambrosio, Stefan de Vrij and Matias Vecino – test positive for COVID-19 in the build-up to facing Sassuolo before the international break, with the game ultimately being postponed.

Inter have no such problems this time around as they prepare to host Roberto De Zerbi’s side at 18:45 CET.

Nicolo Barella, Alessandro Bastoni and Stefano Sensi’s negative tests are of particular significance and relief for Inter, given the outbreak suffered among the Italian national team squad last week.

Leonardo Bonucci, Vincenzo Grifo, Salvatore Sirigu, Marco Verratti, Alessandro Florenzi and Federico Bernardeschi have all tested positive since returning to their clubs.

Cagliari goalkeeper Alessio Cragno also picked up COVID-19 after his Azzurri duties, meaning he will miss Sunday’s match against Inter at San Siro.
