Inter President Steven Zhang To Return To Milan ‘Within Days’, Italian Media Claim

Inter president Steven Zhang is poised to make his long-awaited return to Italy, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Corriere della Sera’s print edition said Zhang was expected back in Milan ‘within days’, with possible developments on Inter’s ownership situation before the end of April.

Suning are seeking an investment of €250 million and with Inter on course to secure the Serie A title, they can begin planning for the future soon.

Antonio Conte and club directors Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio are all out of contract in 2022, but the report said it was still premature to think about renewals or the next campaign.

Inter are focused on their quest to secure the Scudetto and Conte’s side will look to move one step closer by beating Sassuolo tonight.

Conte would come full circle should he win the title at Inter, the Milan-based paper claimed, having been subjected to insults from his former boss Andrea Agnelli during February’s Coppa Italia semi-final second leg at Juventus.

Juventus are said to be regretting the decision to let Marotta leave to join their arch rivals, where him and Conte are set to dethrone their former employers in Turin.
