Inter are storming to a 19th Serie A title after recording their 10th win on the trot in the Serie A following a 2-1 win at home at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan’s San Siro district.

Antonio Conte is on his way to delivering what he promised when taking over the reigns at the club almost 2 years ago, namely to win the Scudetto.

This after Romelu Lukaku scored his 21st Serie A goal of the season before assisting Lautaro Martinez to double Inter’s lead.

Traore pulled one back and it got nervous at the end in classic Pazza Inter style but it ended in a win sending Nerazzurri 11 points clear top of the Serie A.

Samir Handanovic – 6.5: Had virtually nothing to do in the first half but did his job when called upon, especially in the second half when Sassuolo pushed hard.

Milan Skriniar – 6.5: Made a few mistakes which could have proven costly but repaired them as well as making a couple of last ditch important tackles.

Stefan de Vrij – 7: The elegant Dutchman at the heart of Inter’s defence showed why every top club in Europe wants him. Always cool, calm and composed.

Matteo Darmian – 6.5: Played out of position but always delivers a decent to good level. Today’s performance was the latter. Very important squad player.

Achraf Hakimi – 5: No need to mince words: he was poor from start to end. Has reverted back to making bad decisions defensively as well as in attack.

Nicolo Barella – 6: Did his job and took a yellow card which means he will miss the match against his home-town club Cagliari in Sunday’s lunch match.

Roberto Gagliardini – 6: Decent outing by Gagliardini offering defensive balance to the Nerazzurri midfield. Didn’t offer much in attack but no mistakes either.

Christian Eriksen – 6: Not the best performance by the Danish international. Looked a bit out of his comfort zone in the deep-lying playmaker role.

Ashley Young – 7: Very good outing by the former Man Utd player, especially in the first half when he caused Sassuolo all sorts of problems in attack.

Romelu Lukaku – 7.5: Another day, another goal and another assist leading Inter to another win. Mr. Unstoppable is about to lead Inter to Scudetto number 19.

Lautaro Martinez – 7: Scored a goal assisted by his BFF Lukaku and was always a threat in attack thanks to his intelligent movement and excellent technique.

Stefano Sensi – 5.5: Came on in the 59th minute for Eriksen and showed why Antonio Conte doesn’t trust him as he looks out of place in this team currently.

Matias Vecino – 6: Replaced Roberto Gagliardini in the 70th minute. Decent showing by the tenacious Uruguayan midfielder who always works hard.

Alexis Sanchez – 6: Brought on in the 77th minute for Lautaro Martinez & was close to both scoring and getting an assist when Sassuolo went gung ho.

Antonio Conte – 7: Got his match plan spot on in the first half when Sassuolo were unable to create anything but struggled to get team to respond in second.

Massimiliano Irrati – 5: A referee must be consistent, which he & his team were throughout. Having said that both teams should have had at least 1 penalty.

Inter – 6.5: Hardly an impressive performance which will be remembered in the history books but irrelevant as the 3 points are all that matter.
