Antonio Conte showed off all his grit and determination during Inter’s win over Sassuolo last night, according to an Italian broadcaster.

The Nerazzurri went 11 points clear at the top of Serie A with a 2-1 win over the Neroverdi, their tenth straight victory in the league.

Conte was urging his players on from the first whistle to the last, which was perfectly highlighted by a couple of anecdotes revealed by Inter TV this afternoon.

Their report explained: “When Milan Skriniar took a ball to the face, Conte shouted at him: ‘Bravo Skri, bravo!’

“Even when Lautaro Martinez was on the ground after a challenge, Conte encouraged him to get back up.”

Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez scored a goal in either half for Inter as they strengthened their grip on the Serie A title.

Hamed Traore pulled one back late on for Sassuolo, but Roberto De Zerbi’s side were unable to convert their territorial superiority into an equaliser.

Inter will return to Serie A action on Sunday when they welcome struggling Cagliari to San Siro.

Conte is likely to be a man possessed once again on the touchline as the Scudetto comes into view on the horizon.
