Antonio Conte’s love story with Inter looks set to continue for some time yet, according to a report in the Italian media today.

La Repubblica’s print edition said Conte would sit down and discuss a contract extension with the Nerazzurri at the end of this season.

Inter signed Conte to a three-year deal in the summer of 2019, meaning he has one season left on his contract after the current campaign.

Conte is becoming ‘ever more Interista’ and would be set for his longest ever coaching stint at one club if he remained beyond the 2021-22 season.

Inter look ‘completely Conte-esque’ now, the report argued, both in terms of the team’s spirit and their style of play.

The Nerazzurri went 11 points clear at the top of Serie A last night with a 2-1 win at home to Sassuolo in their game in hand.

Conte’s side have now won 10 straight games in the league, a run Inter have not achieved since the 2006-07 season.
