Inter have no intention of letting Stefan de Vrij leave the club this summer, as per a report in the Italian media today.

Last night, Dutch news outlet Ziggo Sport said Manchester City, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain all wanted to sign the Dutch centre-back for next season.

However, Corriere dello Sport’s print edition referenced their report today and assured Inter considered De Vrij to be ‘fundamental’ and ‘unique’ for their defence.

De Vrij is under contract with Inter until 2023 and talks have already began over a contract extension, although nothing will be finalised before the end of the season.

Inter have made it clear that they intend to keep De Vrij, although the Rome-based paper said that it remained to be seen whether a huge offer could change their minds.

The centre-back played the full 90 minutes at San Siro last night as Antonio Conte’s side beat Sassuolo 2-1 in Serie A.
