Inter have set their sights on two Serbian defenders ahead of the summer transfer window, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition claimed the Nerazzurri were seeking replacements for Andrea Ranocchia and Aleksandar Kolarov, both of whom will be out of contract at the end of the season.

Fiorentina centre-back Nikola Milenkovic is one target, who is valued at €25 million and also has interest from AC Milan.

The other objective is said to be Napoli’s Nikola Maksimovic, who will be available on a free transfer in the summer.

Milenkovic is likely to leave Fiorentina ahead of next season and has also been linked in previous reports with a move to the Premier League, perhaps to Manchester United.

Maksimovic, meanwhile, also has interest from Lazio but is a player that Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio have been monitoring for some time at Inter.

The Napoli defender has suitors abroad but Maksimovic would prefer to remain in Serie A.
