Romelu Lukaku is leading Inter towards fulfilling their dream of regaining the Serie A title, as reported by the Italian media today.

The Belgian opened the scoring once again for the Nerazzurri last night as Antonio Conte’s men beat Sassuolo 2-1 at San Siro.

Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition handed Lukaku a rating of 7.5/10 for his performance, unsurprisingly marking him out as man of the match.

“What more can you say about him now?” the Milan-based paper wondered.

“If you love football you should go and watch how he moved into position for Inter’s first goal, after changing play towards Ashley Young.

“Lukaku is building Inter’s dreams as well as their goals.”

Lautaro Martinez, Ashley Young and Milan Skriniar all received ratings of 7/10, with the Slovak praised for a ‘perfect’ defensive display up against Sassuolo forward Jeremie Boga.

Matteo Darmian got 6.5 after ‘passing his exam’ in an unusual centre-back role for Conte’s side, while Samir Handanovic, Stefan de Vrij, Stefano Sensi and Matias Vecino were all given 6.

Nicolo Barella, Christian Eriksen, Roberto Gagliardini and Alexis Sanchez all got 5.5 for supposedly underwhelming displays, but Achraf Hakimi was rated lowest of all with just 5/10.

The Moroccan wing-back was criticised for an ‘absent-minded’ and ‘imprecise’ display, having lost the ball in the build-up to Hamed Traore’s goal for Sassuolo.
