Inter are 13 points away from the Serie A title, a report in the Italian media highlighted today.

The Nerazzurri maintained their 11-point lead at the top of the table yesterday by beating Cagliari 1-0 in a hard-fought match at San Siro.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition suggested it would not be difficult for Antonio Conte’s side to secure the remaining points, given Inter have picked up 74 in 30 league games so far this season.

Inter have a points-per-game average of 2.47 after Matteo Darmian’s goal earned them victory over the Rossoblu.

The Rome-based paper looked ahead to the future and said Inter would soon be thinking about how to build on this year’s likely Scudetto triumph.

The Nerazzurri need to ensure this season does not end up becoming a flash in the pan, they argued, and instead chase down their ‘second star’ (the 20th Scudetto in their history).

Inter would move above AC Milan in the all-time list for Scudetti by claiming a 19th title this year.
