Christian Eriksen produced another impressive performance for Inter during yesterday’s 1-0 win over Cagliari, a report in the Italian media argued.

The Dane played 81 minutes at San Siro and was involved in much of the Nerazzurri’s attacking play at San Siro.

Tuttosport’s print edition rated Eriksen 6.5/10 for his performance against Leonardo Semplici’s side, higher than Marcelo Brozovic and Stefano Sensi who both received 6/10.

“He took over Nicolo Barella’s position on the right-hand side of midfield and showed he is comfortable in that role as well,” the Turin-based paper reported.

Matteo Darmian was unsurprisingly given Inter’s joint-highest rating of 7.5/10 after scoring the winning goal.

TS described the former Manchester United wing-back as ‘the unexpected hero’, after Darmian tapped in Achraf Hakimi’s cross from close range.

Hakimi was the other Nerazzurri player to get 7.5/10, having made a decisive impact after replacing Ashley Young with 20 minutes left.

Stefan de Vrij was awarded 7/10 for an ‘insuperable’ performance in defence, with Milan Skriniar, Alessandro Bastoni and Romelu Lukaku getting 6.5/10.

Young, Samir Handanovic and Lautaro Martinez were rated 6/10 while Alexis Sanchez got just 5/10 for a game in which ‘nothing worked for him’.

Inter head coach Antonio Conte was given a score of 7/10.
