Antonio Conte remains confident of having Ivan Perisic available for Inter’s big Serie A match at Napoli on Sunday, according to reports in Italy today.

Perisic has not featured for the Nerazurri in more than a month, since the 2-1 win at Torino on March 14, having returned from international duty with a muscular problem.

Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition said the Croatian could return to group training today and is in contention to start the game at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Tuttosport’s print edition offered a similarly optimistic view, reporting that Inter were ‘optimistic’ about a recovery and that Perisic should be included in Conte’s squad this weekend.

Inter will be hunting a 12th straight win in Serie A when they face Gennaro Gattuso’s side in Naples, who are desperately seeking points to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

The Nerazzurri are 11 points clear of second-placed AC Milan and only need another 13 points to secure a first league title since 2010.
