Arturo Vidal’s future at Inter remains anything but certain, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As per Il Giorno’s print edition, the midfielder is contracted to the Nerazzurri for another season but has looked a long way from his best since joining from Barcelona last summer.

Antonio Conte has done everything possible to find a place for Vidal in his side, but the Chilean’s performances have not been consistent and he is now behind Christian Eriksen in the pecking order.

Vidal’s hefty annual salary, which is widely reported as being €5 million, means a summer departure is a scenario ‘which cannot be excluded’.

Inter are still to decide on Vidal’s future at the club but they appear to have made up their minds on Aleksandar Kolarov, the report continued.

Kolarov is out of contract in the summer and the Nerazzurri do not seem likely to exercise their automatic renewal option to keep him for a second season.
