AC Milan want to snatch Danilo D’Ambrosio away from Inter, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Calciomercato.com said the Rossoneri offered the defender a two-year contract when they met his agent Vincenzo Pisacane for talks last week.

D’Ambrosio has not started in Serie A for Inter since November and is out of contract with the Nerazzurri at the end of the season.

However, Inter have an option to extend the 32-year-old’s deal for another year and they are thought to have every intention of doing so.

D’Ambrosio has made 15 appearances in all competitions under Antonio Conte this season, scoring in Inter’s league wins over Fiorentina, Genoa and Cagliari before Christmas.

AC Milan have identified the former Torino defender as an ideal reinforcement for Stefano Pioli, with Diogo Dalot set to return to Manchester United when his loan deal expires in the summer.

It remains to be seen what D’Ambrosio will decide regarding his future, but FcInter1908.it believe his priority is to remain at Inter.
