Romelu Lukaku will be making his 15th consecutive league start for Inter when the Nerazzurri visit Spezia tonight, as per a report in the Italian media today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition said Milan Skriniar was the only Inter player to be on a longer run than Lukaku, with the defender set for his 24th straight Serie A start at the Stadio Alberto Picco.

Lukaku has played every minute of Inter’s last nine league games, with his most recent substitution coming at the end of their 3-1 win over Lazio on February 14.

Antonio Conte feels he is unable to do without his star striker and will put his faith in the Belgian again when Inter take to the pitch against Vincenzo Italiano’s side tonight.

Lukaku is one booking away from picking up a one-match suspension, the Rome-based paper highlighted, but this has been the case for nine games now.

Inter are therefore hoping the 27-year-old can remain available until they have wrapped up the Serie A title, for which they require a maximum of 12 points.

Lukaku has scored 21 goals and provided eight assists for Inter in the league this season.
