Inter’s loan forward Rigoberto Rivas is earning attention from several high-profile clubs in Italy and abroad, according to a report in the Italian media.

Rivas has enjoyed a great season at Reggina in Serie B, continuing his impressive development while scoring four goals and providing two assists.

FcInterNews.it said three clubs in Serie A were keen on a deal for the Honduras international, who is due to represent his country at this summer’s Olympics in Tokyo.

Rivas also has interest from clubs outside of Italy though, albeit the identity of these teams is not yet known.

Reggina have an option to make Rivas’ loan move permanent at the end of this season, but Inter have a counter-option they can use if they wish to re-sign the 22-year-old.

Rivas is under contract with the Nerazzurri until 2023 and will likely discuss his future with the club in the summer, and a new deal is not out of the question.

Reggina’s sporting director Massimo Taibi told Strettoweb.com recently: “Rivas is an Inter player and they’re counting on him a lot.

“It will be difficult for us to keep him if Serie A clubs come in for him, but if he stays in Serie B he will definitely remain with us.”
