Inter will need Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez back on top form if they wish to secure the Serie A title, a leading Italian broadcaster highlighted today.

The Nerazzurri wasted a handful of clear chances last night as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Spezia, their second draw in the space of three days.

As per Sky Sport Italia (via FcInter1908.it), Inter have only won six of their 12 league matches this season in which neither Lukaku nor Lautaro have scored.

They have taken 23 points from a possible 36 in that time, making for a points-per-game average of 1.9.

Inter have won all nine games in Serie A when both players have scored, while Antonio Conte’s side have picked up seven victories in eight when only Lukaku was on the score-sheet.

Lautaro has scored without Lukaku on three occasions, and Inter have only won one of those games, away at Hellas Verona on December 23.

Conte will be hoping both can find their shooting boots again on Sunday, Sky argued, when Inter face the Gialloblu again at San Siro.

Inter moved one point closer to the Serie A title tonight after Atalanta were held to a 1-1 draw at Roma, meaning Conte’s side need only eight points from their final six games.
