Achraf Hakimi has warned his Inter teammates not to lose their focus after the Nerazzurri were held to a 1-1 draw at Spezia.

Antonio Conte’s side had the chance to go 12 points clear of AC Milan at the top of Serie A, but they were forced to settle for a point after a frustrating night at the Stadio Alberto Picco.

Diego Farias opened the scoring for the hosts before Ivan Perisic restored parity at the end of the first half, but Inter couldn’t push on to find the winner.

“The lead we have in the table makes us calm, but we mustn’t lose our focus in any way,” Hakimi told Inter TV after the full-time whistle in Liguria.

“We did everything possible to win and bring home three points, but it was a tough match against a team like Spezia.

“We need to look ahead to our next game against Hellas Verona (on Sunday).”

Hakimi was his usual self on the right wing against Vincenzo Italiano’s side, covering the flank with his electric pace in Conte’s 3-5-2 system.

Asked about his individual performance, the Moroccan said: “I never stop during games, that’s one of my characteristics.

“I want to help the team with my qualities, among which are my pace and my running ability on the wing.”

Inter need a maximum of nine points from their final six games to win the Scudetto for the first time since 2010.
