Inter’s 1-1 draw at Spezia last night saw the Nerazzurri continue their struggles in Serie A away to newly-promoted teams.

Antonio Conte’s side had the chance to go 12 points clear of AC Milan at the top of the table, but they were forced to settle for a point at the Stadio Alberto Picco.

Ivan Perisic got the Nerazzurri back on level terms after Diego Farias had opened the scoring for the hosts, but Inter were unable to push on and find a winner.

As highlighted by Opta, Inter have curiously now failed to win three of their last four away matches in Serie A against newly-promoted sides.

Along with the draw at Spezia, they also drew 2-2 at Hellas Verona last season and 1-1 at Lecce several months previously.
