Stefano Sensi is in contention to make a second consecutive home start for Inter when they host Hellas Verona on Sunday, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition said Antonio Conte was considering bringing Sensi back into his starting XI and dropping Christian Eriksen to the bench.

Conte has two other selection dilemmas and one of those is the left wing-back spot, where Ivan Perisic is thought to be favourite anyway ahead of Ashley Young.

The other concerns Romelu Lukaku’s partner up front, with Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez both battling for a start.

Sensi started Inter’s match at home to Cagliari two weeks ago and is reportedly fighting to secure his future at the club for next season, as per another source today.

Inter’s probable starting XI vs Hellas Verona (3-5-2): Samir Handanovic; Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni; Achraf Hakimi, Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic, Stefano Sensi, Ivan Perisic; Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez.
