Inter are at most 5 points away from securing the club’s 19th Serie A title after a 1-0 goal at home at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza against Hellas Verona.

This after Nerazzurri’s super sub Matteo Darmian does what he does nowadays: comes on in the second half and scores late winners.

Samir Handanovic – 5: Made one good save in the first half off Bessa but the rebound could have gone in. Went to sleep when he should have caught the ball. Unsure.

Milan Skriniar – 7: Skriniar had a decent game. Always kept in touch with the moves Verona made. Feels the danger and makes perfect tackles to nip it in the bud. Wall

Stefan De Vrij – 7: Just like Skriniar, De Vrij had a decent game. Was always proactive in reading the few moves Verona got going. Played very well on the ball as well.

Alessandro Bastoni – 6: Not the best starts of the game for Basto. He kept his head and his positioning improved with each passing minute. On the ball movement was great

Achraf Hakimi – 6.5: Hakimi looked to have got rid of the timidness that has hampered him in the recent months. Defended well and was inches away from a wondergoal.

Nicolo Barella – 6: Ever since Nico got that week off due to suspension; he has not been the same. He is still pretty good but Interisti have been spoilt by him this year.

Marcelo Brozovic – 6.5: Made some great splitting passes to get Eriksen into the game. Brozo turned up with the right attitude and aptitude today. Conte should be pleased.

Christian Eriksen – 6.5: Huge improvement from Eriksen in the attacking phase. Looked to play the quick ball to Lukaku’s feet and almost always found his feet. Quality play.

Ivan Perisic – 5.5: Ivan did not really get involved in the game especially in the first half. Defensively he was solid, and Verona did not really get much from his flank. Solid.

Romelu Lukaku – 6: Involved a lot in the play for a change. Verona were double marking him and fouled him a few times to keep him in check. Needs to score soon.

Lautaro Martinez – 5.5: Did not take advantage of Lukaku holding the ball up well. Should have made more of the extra space he was afforded. Missed a golden chance early.

Stefano Sensi – 6 : Sensi continued his comeback from injury. Was decent when Inter kept the shape and even won the ball a couple of times. Not much attacking to do.

Matteo Darmian – 7.5: Super sub. Darmian was famously signed without any fanfare last summer and boy he is making it count. Last 2 victories have come from his boots.

Alexis Sanchez – 6.5: Impact off the bench. Always comes off the bench charging in like a bull. Chased the ball and caused Verona a lot of trouble. Revitalized the attack.

Roberto Gagliardini – N/A: Another game, another sub appearance where Conte put him on as soon as Inter went into the lead. Made one mistake but it was not costly.

Danilo D’Ambrosio – N/A: Conte brought on D’Ambrosio to shore up the defense as Hakimi had run a lot. Not the same player on the wing but still decent enough to throw on.

Antonio Conte – 6: Conte’s biggest problem is that his attack is starting to look jaded especially in the second half. Thankfully, he made the right subs to win the game.

Rosario Abisso – 4.5: Abisso doing what he does best. Invented fouls, missed obvious ones. Magnani could have been sent off. VAR was not used on that Faraoni/Handa no goal.

Inter – 6: At this stage of the season, all things considered any 3 points are worth their weight in gold. Inter did not look comfortable in attack after a very long time.
