Antonio Conte has no intention from walking away from Inter despite the club’s financial struggles, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As per Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition, Conte told reporters after yesterday’s 1-0 win against Hellas Verona that he needed to talk ‘very calmly’ with owners Suning and ‘find out what can be done’ ahead of next season.

Inter’s boss knows many expect him to make big progress in the UEFA Champions League next season, but he has no reassurance yet over whether Inter can reinforce their squad in the summer.

If Suning cannot guarantee Conte the signings necessary for a successful campaign in Europe, Conte would want this to be made clear in order to protect him from criticism.

Conte is already thinking about Inter’s communication strategy for next season, the Milan-based paper explained, which shows how little thought he is giving to leaving the club in the summer.

Suning simply need to explain to Conte what is possible in terms of strengthening the squad and keeping key players.
