Inter moved even closer to becoming Serie A champions tonight after their nearest rivals AC Milan were comfortably beaten by Lazio.

Simone Inzaghi’s side recorded a 3-0 win over the Rossoneri at the Stadio Olimpico courtesy of a double from Joaquin Correa and a fine goal from Ciro Immobile.

AC Milan’s defeat means that Inter will win the scudetto on Sunday if they beat Crotone (on Saturday) and Atalanta fail to beat Sassuolo (on Sunday afternoon).

Whatever happens to Inter’s rivals now, Antonio Conte’s side only need four more points to end the Nerazzurri’s 10-year drought for a major trophy.

Inter can officially knock AC Milan and Juventus out of the title race if they win at the Stadio Ezio Scida on Saturday evening.

Conte’s side would also relegate Crotone back to Serie B if they picked up three points at the weekend, despite the Rossoblu’s dramatic 4-3 win at Parma at the weekend.

Inter are top of Serie A with 79 points, followed by Atalanta on 68 points and three teams – Juventus, Napoli and AC Milan – tied on 66.
