Inter’s Lorenzo Pirola Wanted By Bologna, Atalanta & Monza With €10M Price Tag, Italian Media Reveal

Inter could be set for a bidding war over their defender Lorenzo Pirola, as per a report in the Italian media today.

FcInterNews.it revealed the centre-back had attracted interest from Bologna, Atalanta and Monza – where he is currently on a season-long loan – ahead of the summer transfer window.

Inter value Pirola at €10 million and will wait until the end of the season before making any decisions on his future.

The Nerazzurri’s financial problems could force them to sacrifice the 19-year-old, who has impressed with his performances for Monza in Serie B this season.

Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani are both huge admirers of Pirola and would like to make his loan move permanent if Monza secure promotion to Serie A.

Atalanta’s sporting director Giovanni Sartori has also made contact with Inter over a deal for the defender though, aware that they might need to sell Pirola to balance the books.

Bologna have made an enquiry for Pirola as well, but the Rossoblu are only interested in signing him on a loan deal.

Pirola has started seven of Monza’s last seven games after struggling for game time during the first half of the season.
