Inter have received a boost in their bid to sign Alessandro Florenzi from Roma, according to a report in France.

L’Equipe (via FcInter1908.it) today said Paris Saint-Germain were unlikely to sign the Italian on a permanent deal when his season-long loan from Roma expired in the summer.

PSG have the option to make Florenzi’s loan move permanent for €9 million but Mauricio Pochettino is thought to be seeking a different type of full-back.

Inter are being linked in Italy with a move for Florenzi, who has already played under Antonio Conte for the Italian national team, and it seems the Nerazzurri will be free to make a move for him if they wish.

Pochettino is seeking Serge Aurier or Hector Bellerin as a replacement for Florenzi, L’Equipe’s report added, who are seen as more physical and more natural runners than the Italian.

Florenzi has made 31 appearances on loan for PSG this season, scoring twice and providing a single assist in all competitions.
