Inter fans have no reason to worry about losing Antonio Conte or Lautaro Martinez in the summer, according to a leading Italian journalist today.

Conte is set for crunch talks with Inter president Steven Zhang in the coming weeks after the Nerazzurri secure the Serie A title.

The Nerazzurri’s transfer plans will remain unclear until those talks are completed, but some reports have suggested Inter could sacrifice Lautaro before June 30 in order to balance their books.

However, Libero columnist and Inter supporter Fabrizio Biasin told Calciomercato.it: “My impression is that there is a 99% chance Conte will still be Inter’s head coach next season.

“There’s also a very strong chance Lautaro will stay, because that’s what the player and Inter both want.

“We heard a lot of talk about Barcelona last summer but in reality it was all rubbish.”

Lautaro, who is under contract with Inter until 2023, has scored 17 goals in all competitions this season, including a new personal best tally of 15 in a single Serie A season.

El Toro could help Conte’s side become Serie A champions as early as Sunday, if Inter beat Crotone (on Saturday) and Atalanta fail to win away at Sassuolo (on Sunday afternoon).

In any case, Inter need only four points from their final five games to secure the scudetto.
