Inter’s hopes of signing Ruslan Malinovskyi from Atalanta appear to be zero, as explained by a report in the Italian media.

A report last weekend revealed the Nerazzurri had identified Malinovskyi as an ideal transfer target and planned to meet Atalanta to ask if there was room to agree a deal.

However, Corriere di Bergamo (via FcInter1908.it) said the 27-year-old was now considered to be unsellable and would not be allowed to leave under any circumstances.

Atalanta received interest for Malinovskyi last summer but rejected all advances, informing his suitors that they would want more than €25 million to sell him.

Malinovskyi has scored seven goals and provided nine assists for Atalanta in all competitions this season, providing the opening goal in Sunday’s 5-0 win over Bologna in Serie A.

The Ukraine international scored the equaliser for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side back in November when Inter were held to a 1-1 draw at the Gewiss Stadium.
