Christian Eriksen has transformed Inter’s season and his critics are refusing to accept reality, according to former Nerazzurri defender Daniele Adani.

Antonio Conte seemed to have no interest in finding a spot for the Dane in his midfield at the start of the season, but everything has changed since Inter were blocked from making any signings in January.

Eriksen has started 11 of Inter’s last 14 league games and scored a vital goal recently in the Nerazzurri’s 1-1 draw away at Napoli.

“Some people are still refusing to retract what they said erroneously about Eriksen a year ago,” Adani argued while appearing on Bobo TV, Christian Vieri’s Twitch channel.

“Maybe they’re waiting for him to win six league titles all at once before admitting that he’s not that bad.

“It’s evident that Eriksen has changed Inter’s fortunes.”

Eriksen has made 30 appearances in all competitions this season and is likely to start again when Inter visit Crotone on Saturday.

Aside from his equaliser at Napoli, the 29-year-old’s only other goal of the campaign came in a 2-1 win over AC Milan in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.

Inter could be confirmed as champions at the weekend if they beat Crotone and Atalanta fail to win away at Sassuolo.
