Inter will not be selling any of their key players in the upcoming transfer window, a report in the Italian media assured today.

Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition said that while you could never say never, there was no sign of the Nerazzurri’s squad potentially being dismantled in the summer.

Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez, Nicolo Barella, Alessandro Bastoni and Achraf Hakimi are Inter’s most appetising players on the market but none seem to be at risk of leaving the club.

Inter president Steven Zhang will help to clarify Suning’s plans for next season after he returns to Milan tomorrow.

Antonio Conte will be eager to hear Inter’s transfer plans but this will only be a secondary issue for him, the Milan-based paper explained.

Conte is more interested in what he will be expected to achieve next season, but Zhang will tell him there is no obligation to win Serie A or the UEFA Champions League.

Inter’s message to Conte will be ‘very clear’ in that sense, meaning he will not be burdened with unrealistic expectations heading into the 2021-22 campaign.

The club will certainly look to reduce costs by rejuvenating the squad, lowering their wage bill and offloading some of the older players who have not featured much this season.
