Inter will have to curb their Serie A title celebrations so they comply with Italy’s COVID-19 restrictions, according to a report in the Italian media today.

The Nerazzurri could be confirmed as champions on Sunday afternoon if they beat Crotone (on Saturday) and Atalanta fail to pick up three points away at Sassuolo (on Sunday).

Gazzetta.it revealed Inter’s Curva Nord were set to send representatives to meet Milan’s city council before Saturday’s match at the Stadio Ezio Scida, to discuss possible celebration plans.

The Curva Nord have not organised anything yet and will be unable to celebrate the scudetto in the traditional fashion for obvious reasons.

Talks between the council and Inter’s supporters will attempt to avoid any mass gatherings which remain illegal as Italy battles its way through the pandemic.

Inter fans are unlikely to congregate outside the club’s training ground at Appiano Gentile, according to this report, but the Curva Nord is not worrying about superstition as Antonio Conte’s side seem virtually certain to become champions.
