Inter have identified three transfer targets in attack for the upcoming summer window, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Gazzetta.it said the Nerazzurri were still considering moves for either Atalanta’s Luis Muriel, Roma’s Edin Dzeko or Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud.

In addition to a new fourth-choice striker, Inter will also be seeking a left wing-back and a midfielder (potentially a versatile one) for next season.

Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri would be ‘enthusiastic’ about joining Inter but another option at wing-back is Roma’s Alessandro Florenzi, who is on loan at Paris Saint-Germain with an option to buy.

Inter remain keen on a move for Udinese captain Rodrigo de Paul in midfield, meanwhile, following persistent links to the Argentine in recent months.

In more general terms, the club’s aim for the transfer window is to reduce their wage bill and rejuvenate Antonio Conte’s squad with younger players.

Inter president Steven Zhang returned to Milan yesterday after a six-month absence and will soon meet Conte and the club’s directors to discuss transfer plans, among other issues.
